Enrolling in Benefits

See which benefits to enroll in and when.

New Hires

You have 30 days from your hire date to enroll yourself and eligible dependents in:

  • Medical and prescription drug insurance
  • Dental insurance
  • Vision insurance
  • Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)
  • Supplemental life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance
  • Critical illness, accidental injury and hospital indemnity insurance
  • Legal services
  • Identity theft protection

How to enroll

To enroll, log in to MySamsungBenefits.com using these credentials:

  • Username: SAS followed by your company email address (e.g. SASd.public@samsung.com).
  • Password: Capitalized first letter of your first name + first four characters of your last name + last four digits of your Social Security number. You’ll then create a password of your own to remember.

You can also use the Benefitexpressway mobile app (App Store | Google Play) with the same credentials.

Coverage will be effective as of your hire date.

If you don’t enroll within 30 days, your next opportunity to enroll will be during the annual Open Enrollment period or if you experience a qualifying life event.

When you can enroll in other benefits

You can enroll in or sign up for these benefits at any time:
  • Samsung 401(k) Plan
  • Back-up dependent care
  • Free mental health resources

You’re automatically enrolled in:

  • Basic life and AD&D insurance (employee and dependent coverage)
  • Disability insurance

Qualifying Life Events

Outside your new hire enrollment period or annual Open Enrollment, you can’t change your benefits during the year unless you experience one of these qualifying life events:

  • Birth or adoption of a child: Add your new child to coverage.
  • Marriage or partnership: Add your new spouse or domestic partner to coverage.
  • Divorce or separation: Remove your former spouse or domestic partner from coverage.
  • Death of a dependent: Remove your dependent from coverage.
  • Gain new coverage: Drop Samsung coverage for yourself, your spouse or domestic partner, or dependent children if you gain new coverage elsewhere.
  • Loss of coverage: If you lose coverage elsewhere, you can enroll in Samsung coverage for yourself, your spouse or domestic partner and dependent children.
  • Change in qualifying dependent’s residence: A qualifying dependent joins you in the U.S. from another country or a qualifying dependent leaves the U.S.

You have 30 days from the date of the event to change your benefits. You’ll be required to provide documentation to support your life event.
